SAF® is routinely processed on all commercial air-laid production equipment. Product web technologies include:
- BBAL/LBAL = Binder-Bonded Air-Laid/Latex-Bonded Air-Laid
- MBAL = Multi-Bonded Air-Laid
- HBAL/XBAL = Hydrogen-Bonded Air-Laid/X-Bonded Air-Laid
SAF® short staple grades (6 mm) are typically blended with wood pulp and thermal bondable fibre. Air-Laid webs within excess of 80% SAF® content can be achieved at fabric weights of approximately 20-1,000gsm. A wide range of lamination options are available for SAF® based air-laids.
