Super Absorbent Fibre (Oasis SAF®) manufacturer Technical Absorbents Ltd joined its parent company, Bluestar Fibres Company Limited on its stand at the recent China Composites Expo. The event was held at the China National Convention Centre in Beijing between 15th and 17th September and was a huge success.
The aim of the annual exhibition is to offer a promotional platform to suppliers of raw composite materials to the auto, marine, ground transportation, aero, space, wind energy, infrastructure and construction industries. Now in its 16th year, the three-day expo featured over 350 exhibitors from 17 countries and was attended by over 8,500 visitors.
Bluestar Fibres used the show as an opportunity to display its full array of speciality fibres and composite materials, including: precursor, oxidised fibre, carbon fibre, epoxy resin, aramid fibre and composites and Technical Absorbents Oasis Super Absorbent Fibre (Oasis SAF®) technology. It was the perfect exhibition to raise further brand awareness of the company’s complete product portfolio, meet with new and prospective customers and ultimately expand its presence on all levels within China.
Bluestar Fibres Ltd is a subsidiary company of China National BlueStar (Group) Company Limited, wholly-owned by ChemChina – one of China’s fastest growing chemical groups. Technical Absorbents was acquired by Bluestar Fibres in 2007. In addition to the manufacture of Oasis SAF®, it toll manufactures nonwovens, yarns, woven fabrics and finished consumer goods – all containing its super absorbent fibre. This is as a result of the relationships it has built with some of the world’s leading specialist fibre converters, roll-goods producers and end product manufacturers.
Mr Dave Hill, Business Development Manager for Technical Absorbents, said:
“Our product is used in a wide range of applications including geotextiles, sweat control and coolant technology, food packaging, freeze-cool technology, hygiene products, agrotextiles and groundwater management. This is the first time that Technical Absorbents have been part of its parent company’s exhibition stand and it was an honour to be represented in such a way. Bluestar Fibres is becoming widely recognised as the dominant advanced materials provider in China and Technical Absorbents is proud to be part of it."
