Oasis SAF®-containing geotextiles have been developed as an alternative technology for applications that require waterproofing, e.g. civil construction installations, tunnels, rain water storage facilities and geo-textile constructions. They function by initially absorbing water so that the membrane swells to form an impermeable barrier to water. In addition such linings avert the contamination of surrounding soils.
They offer a number of advantages, including more substantive and compact designs, ease of manufacture and handling, less shedding and wastage and faster absorption and blocking rates.
